Shortly after the May 2006 concert a group of Choral Society members got together for a weekend trip to Lille in northern France.  A smooth run by Eurostar from Waterloo, through the Channel Tunnel, to arrive in Lille in the early evening, took little longer than struggling across the main Waterloo concourse during the rush hour.

"the most beautiful fish restaurant in France", with seafood mosaics inside and out, by Breton artist Mathurin Mehaut.
